BookTranslator.ai provides AI-powered book translation services. The Service translates digital books from one language to another using artificial intelligence technology. Please note that our service translates only text content: images, graphics, tables, and other visual elements in books are preserved in their original form but are not translated.

3. User Responsibilities and Rights

By using our Service, you represent and warrant that:

• You own or have the necessary rights and permissions to translate the content you submit.

• Your use of the Service does not violate any applicable laws or regulations.

• You will not use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information.

4. Intellectual Property Rights

You retain all rights to your original content. By using our Service, you grant us a limited license to process and translate your content solely for the purpose of providing the translation service.

We do not claim ownership of your original content or the resulting translations.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THE ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, OR QUALITY OF ANY TRANSLATION.

6. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BOOKTRANSLATOR.AI, ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, PARTNERS, AGENTS, SUPPLIERS, OR AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.

7. Copyright and DMCA

We respect intellectual property rights and expect users to do the same. If you believe that material available through our Service infringes your copyright, contact us at copyright@booktranslatorai.com.

8. Data Storage and Privacy

When you use our Service, your files are handled as follows:

• Files are temporarily stored in DigitalOcean servers for processing

• All files are automatically deleted after 7 days

• Files are never shared with third parties except for necessary processing

• Translation results are retained for 7 days before automatic deletion

• Download links expire after 7 days

We maintain strict data handling procedures to protect your privacy and intellectual property. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for detailed information on data processing and security measures.

9. Payments and Refunds

All payments are securely processed through Stripe. Refunds are available within 7 days for technical failures — such as failed delivery, corrupt output files, or incomplete translations — subject to review. We do not offer refunds for: (a) invalid, corrupt, or non-EPUB-compliant files; (b) translations where the user selected the same source and target language; (c) subjective preferences regarding translation style. Users are responsible for verifying their file format and language selections before purchasing translation services.

10. Service Modifications

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the Service at any time without prior notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Spain, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update or change these Terms at any time. Your continued use of the Service after the posting of any changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.
